// Who we are?

Makes Your Gold Age Have a Good Memory till end

CREFTDA is a community-driven non-governmental organization working at the grassroots in rural Odisha since 1991. We are dedicated to empowering tribal, marginalized, and underserved communities through sustainable, inclusive development. Our identity is rooted in deep local engagement, cultural sensitivity, and a long-term commitment to social and environmental justice. We function as facilitators, enablers, and partners—bridging the gap between rural realities and development opportunities. With a multidisciplinary approach, CREFTDA works in sectors such as:

  • Sustainable agriculture and food security
  • Forest rights and natural resource governance
  • Women’s empowerment and rural livelihoods
  • Climate resilience and ecological restoration

Over the decades, we’ve grown into a trusted and credible voice in the region supporting communities across the tribal heartland of Mayurbhanj District, including Jashipur, Raruan, Sukruli, Karanjia, Kusumi, and adjoining blocks to secure their rights, strengthen their capacities, and build resilient futures. We are non-political, non-profit, and people-focused with a vision of a fair, equitable society for all.

Our Core Values

Ashabaree Elderly Care Home is guided by our passionate commitment to help senior citizens achieve the highest quality of life. We distinguish ourselves through the exceptional abilities of our caregivers and through our adherence to a system of five Core Values. These values shape our work ethic, the decisions we make and our compassion for our home inmates.

  • Dignity : Dignity is the way which people are physically treated and handled. We treat boarders with respect and due importance at all times.

  • Integrity : Do the right thing even when it's not acknowledged by others or convenient for you. An individual with integrity is honest and we have a strict hiring process in order to ensure that we have with us the best people to serve our boarders.

  • Equality : We strongly believe that every individual has an equal opportunity to make the most of his life, hence every inmate is equally important for us in AECH.

  • Compassion : Having Compassion gives us the willingness and ability to want to approach and care for other people. Compassion includes three elements; Noticing, Feeling and Responding.

  • Advocacy : Advocacy ensures that people have their voice heard on issues that are important to them as well as access to information and services.
